Calder Exhibition
(Sunday, 27 January 2019, 5-6 pm)
Join us for a guided tour of the first major Canadian retrospective of Alexander Calder (1898–1976), the American “who made sculpture move.” The exhibit contains 150 works spanning the artist’s innovative multidisciplinary practice, from paintings to sculptures and mobiles. The tour will be in English, but Anne will be happy to answer questions in both French or English. Following the visit, for those who are so inclined, we will head to Bar George for an apéro.
*Please note: as this is out of hours, for security reasons, the museum will not be able to admit latecomers—and participants will have to remain with the group until the end of the visit at 6 p.m.

Joignez-vous à notre visite guidée privée de la première rétrospective au Canada des œuvres d’Alexander Calder (1898-1976), l’Américain qui « a fait bouger la sculpture ». L’exposition contient 150 œuvres englobant la pratique innovatrice et multidisciplinaire de l’artiste, allant de ces tableaux à ses sculptures et mobiles. La visite se fera en anglais, mais Anne sera heureuse de répondre à vos questions en français ou en anglais. Après la visite, pour ceux qui y seront enclins, nous irons prendre l’apéro au Bar George.
*Veuillez noter que, puisque nous ferons notre visite après la fermeture du musée, les retardataires ne seront pas admis et les participants devront rester avec le groupe jusqu’à la fin de la visite à 18 h.
